Job Summary
We are seeking a Controller to join our team. In this role, you will monitor the company’s financial status and accounting policies, review budgets, and ensure payments are submitted in a timely fashion. This essential position ensures our company is compliant with all accounting regulations, mitigates risks, and maximizes profits. The ideal candidate is an experienced Controller that has worked in a Start-up environment with excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and update company accounting policies to comply with all rules and regulations
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of charges and payments
- Review and analyze budgets, costs, and profits
- Set and monitor key performance indicators
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
- Create risk assessment models
- Create and present reports on the company’s financial performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certification as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Previous experience as a Controller or in a similar position is preferred
- Understanding of all relevant accounting principles, procedures, and regulations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, databases, and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
